Exosomes vs PRP

Why I Chose Exosomes Over PRP for Skin Rejuvenation at Lemon & Lush

At Lemon & Lush, I’m always focused on offering treatments that deliver real results—while supporting long-term skin health. When it came to choosing a regenerative therapy to pair with microneedling, I did my research. While PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a popular choice in some studios, I’ve chosen to offer something more advanced: human-derived, lab-grown exosomes—a next-generation treatment that works deeper and more efficiently than PRP.

Here’s why I chose exosomes—and why they’ve quickly become a client favorite.

What Are Exosomes?

Exosomes are microscopic messengers naturally released by stem cells. They act like text messages between your skin cells, delivering powerful instructions to regenerate, repair, and strengthen. In skincare, they’re used to amplify healing, boost collagen, calm inflammation, and improve overall skin tone and texture.

The exosomes I use at Lemon & Lush are lab-grown from mesenchymal stem cells (ethically sourced), purified, and clinically formulated to be safe, stable, and incredibly potent. With up to 200,000 ppm of regenerative material, these treatments are on the cutting edge of what’s possible in non-invasive skin rejuvenation.

Why I Chose Exosomes Instead of PRP

While PRP has gained popularity in the esthetic world, it comes with a few challenges:

• PRP requires a blood draw, which isn’t ideal for needle-sensitive clients.

• It’s inconsistent, since the quality of PRP depends on the client’s age, hydration, and overall health.

• It typically contains 7–10 growth factors—far fewer than exosomes.

• It can cause bruising and discomfort, especially for sensitive skin types.

In contrast, exosomes offer:

• A standardized, lab-purified formula—meaning every treatment is reliable and results-driven.

• Hundreds of growth factors, peptides, and anti-inflammatory agents in every vial.

• No blood draw or discomfort—just a clean, needle-free application.

• More predictable outcomes and longer-lasting results.

For me, the choice was clear. I want every client to receive the highest quality regenerative support possible—without unnecessary discomfort or guesswork. That’s why I’ve built my microneedling protocol around exosomes from day one.

What to Expect from Exosome Microneedling

Your treatment begins with gentle microneedling, followed by the application of a potent exosome serum that continues to work beneath the surface for 12–24 hours. You’ll notice a visible glow and improved texture within days, and long-term benefits—including collagen remodeling, firmness, and reduced pigmentation—develop over the next few weeks.

I recommend a series of three treatments, spaced about a month apart, for optimal results.

Exosomes Are Ideal For:

• Aging or thinning skin

• Fine lines and wrinkles

• Melasma, sun damage, or post-acne pigmentation

• Acne scars and uneven texture

• Red, reactive, or tired skin

The Bottom Line

Exosomes are a smarter, more sophisticated approach to regenerative skincare. They deliver more growth factors, more consistent results, and a better overall experience—no blood draw, no bruising, no downtime.

I chose them because I believe your skin deserves the very best. And once you experience the glow for yourself, I think you’ll agree.
