Cosmetic Tattooing is considered a semi-permanent service. Results will vary from client to client, however most find their color can retain anywhere from 1-3 years. While many things contribute to how your results last, here are some factors that are GUARANTEED to cause your semi-permanent tattoo to fade quickly:
Oily skin
Retinol or Vitamin C
Iron deficiency
Sun exposure
Exfoliants
Exposure to salt water

Generally, no. A topical 5% lidocaine is used to keep you comfortable throughout your procedure, however pain tolerance varies from client to client. Having the procedure during your menstrual cycle can increase sensitivity in some cases.

If you have reference or inspiration pictures, please feel free to being them to your procedure along with a pencil, powder or product you’re currently using.
It is recommended you come to your appointment with your brows grown out, no need to have them cleaned up before! We prefer to see how they’ll grow naturally, and will clean them up for you at your appointment. If you need to clean them up beforehand, please do so at least 2 weeks before your appointment. If you routinely tint your brows, you will need to do so at least 72 hrs before your appointment.
No laser or any other corrective skin services around the area we will be treating. This applies for two weeks prior to your procedure, and also two weeks after.
As long as permitted by your doctor, avoid taking any medication that will thin the blood 48 hours prior to your appointment( I.E. asprin, ibuprofen, fish oil).
DO NOT drink alcohol or caffeine within 24 hours of your appointment. Doing so increases blood flow and can negatively affect your healed results.
Aside from daily cleansing, you MUST avoid water on your brows for 7-10 days as you heal! THIS INCLUDES ANY SWEATING, POOLS, LAKES, SALT WATER, AND SUN EXPOSURE, ETC. SO PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

As techniques and technology have evolved, the cosmetic tattoo industry has progressed from what it was by leaps and bounds, even just within the last 5 years. At Lemon & Lush, only the highest quality products, tools, techniques and equipment are used to ensure the most realistic and natural results. As these are considered “semi-permanent” tattoos, we are only hitting the very top layer of the skin. Because of this, the color will simply fade into the skin over time, rather than turning an off-color or migrating, as with old-school PMU. Because this tattoo is so superficial in the skin, you won’t need to commit to this brow shape for life!

Congratulations on your fresh new look! To keep your results flawless and ensure proper healing, follow these aftercare steps closely:
1. Keep it Clean, Keep it Dry:
For the first 24 hours, avoid getting the treated area wet. Afterward, gently cleanse the area with a damp cotton pad and pat dry—no scrubbing!
2. Moisturize Gently:
Apply the provided aftercare ointment sparingly 1-2 times a day with clean hands or a cotton swab. Less is more!
3. Avoid Sun, Steam, and Sweat:
For 7-10 days, stay out of direct sunlight, avoid saunas, and skip the gym to prevent irritation or fading. Also, avoid tanning beds and sunscreen on the area until fully healed.
4. No Picking or Scratching:
Flaking or scabbing is normal. As tempting as it is, let the skin heal naturally—no touching or picking at it!
5. Hands Off the Beauty:
Avoid touching the treated area with your fingers unless applying ointment. Let the pigment settle in without interference.
6. Hold Off on Makeup:
Avoid applying makeup to the treated area for at least 10 days to prevent infection or uneven healing.
7. Healing Timeline:
Lips and brows are typically healed (superficially) within a week. Expect the area to soften and fade over the next 4-6 weeks. Touch-ups may be needed to perfect your look, so don’t worry if the color lightens or spots appear.
8. Sleep Smart:
Try to sleep on your back to avoid rubbing the treated area on your pillow. You may also want to use a fresh pillowcase for the first few nights.
9. Stay Patient:
Full healing takes up to 4-6 weeks. You’ll notice the color adjust during this time, but this is completely normal!
By following these aftercare tips, you’ll maintain vibrant, long-lasting results!
