The Process
-
Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and blood thinning supplements beforehand. Skip tanning, retinols and peels 7 days ahead of your appointment. Skin in the treatment area should be healthy and free of irritation. If you are scheduled for lip blushing and have had a cold sore in the past, please begin an antiviral ahead of your appointment.
-
This step is all about understanding your goals and expectations. Together, we’ll decide on the shape, color, and overall look you want, ensuring it complements your natural features.
-
Using precise measurements, I’ll design the shape of your brows or lips, tailoring it to your face. You’ll have plenty of time to approve the design before we begin.
-
A topical anesthetic is applied to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Additional numbing may be applied throughout as needed.
-
Using a fine cosmetic tattoo needle and PMU machine, pigment is gently implanted into the skin layer by layer. The techniques vary based on the service (individual hair strokes or shading)
-
You’ll leave with aftercare instructions tailored to your service. This typically includes keeping the area clean and moisturized and avoiding sun exposure, sweating, or makeup on the area during healing.
-
Over the next few weeks, the area may flake or fade. A touch-up appointment, usually 6 weeks later, perfects the final result and ensures longevity.
